COSMIC Industry Data Release 1

The COSMIC Industry Data R1 provides data for 352 projects that have a software size measured using the COSMIC Functional Size Measurement method.

This first release contains data on 62 projects from the domain of real-time and infrastructure software and 290 projects from the domain of business application software for both new developments and enhancements. This data is invaluable for benchmarking, estimating, project planning and research.

This data release includes a copy of the initial in-depth analysis report of the COSMIC data: "COSMIC Sized Software Projects Special Analysis".  This provides revealing insights into the performance of Real-Time, Infrastructure and Business Application projects.

This data suite can be used by:
