Corporate subscriber - ISBSG Data & Services Annual Subscription
Introduction
Large corporations, primarily involved in the software industry, need IT software project history data that is reliable, verifiable, standardised and representative of current technologies. The ISBSG has the largest open repository of software project history.
The ISBSG makes its repository data, (>4,000 projects), available to large corporations under an annual subscription model for their use in their own software metrics repositories, for estimating, quoting, benchmarking, outsource contracts, research and planning. The data provided is far more extensive than that offered on the ISBSG Estimating, Benchmarking and Research CD, (203 fields compared to the CD's 106), and can be tailored to suit the corporation’s requirements. The only fields that the ISBSG will not provide are country identification fields. This service also ensures that subscribing corporations have access to the most recent data.
As part of this annual subscription the ISBSG also provides individual web subscriptions to the corporation’s named users providing access to special reports and tools.

Subscription Details
ISBSG Repository Data
The ISBSG will issue the licensee with a licence to use the data and will send the licensee a soft copy of the data.
This License allows:
- Use of the Data by the nominated number of licensee employees, solely as end users (that is, for licensee employee use and not for use by others, or for resale, alone or as a component of any other product, to any other person or company).
- Inclusion in and distribution of the data as part of the licensee’s software metrics repository.
- Inclusion of the data in any hard copy report, research paper or image presentation produced by the licensed users. (The source of the published data must always be acknowledged including the words: “International Software Benchmarking Standards Group – www.isbsg.org”)
Restrictions
- The licensee may not transfer the Data (including back-up copies) or the rights under this License to another party.
- The licensee may not modify, adapt, rent, lease, loan or sell the data or any part of the data.

Summary
This annual corporate subscription has been designed to allow organisations to use the ISBSG data for their estimating, quoting, benchmarking, outsource contracts, research and planning. It can be particularly helpful for software suppliers and customers alike in highlighting unrealistic quotes and providing a benchmark on which to base realistic outsourcing contract targets.
